Four brothers of PM Modi :- PM Narendra Modi’s Siblings: A Quiet and Humble Family in the Background. A man of politics to the core, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is from a very simple family background which is quite contrary to the position and dignity he staunchly uplifts today. The narrative of his family still remains mostly in the background with some of his full-blooded siblings leading ordinary public-based professions. He is, however, known to the whole world, many people in India don’t even know about his four brothers and a sister, who have literally lived their lives quite differently, far from the showbiz. And, here’s the more difficult part of the story, which involves the Modi family.
1. Somabhai Modi: The Elder Brother in Social Service
Active on social causes, the oldest in the Modi clan, Somabhai Modi is a former health worker and also worked with the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation. Known for his simplicity, he spends time in social service. In Vadnagar, Gujarat, he set up Swargast Damordas Moolchand Modi Sevashram, an old age home named after their father. He has always been quoted saying that he would like to keep himself away from politics and would like to concentrate on his service and community work. There is a way of thinking that focuses on how things, including his brother, Narendra Modi, whose access to him is inter-familial but never political as he often says ‘I am just another brother or sister in India’.
2. Amrit Modi: A Retired Professional Who Leads a Private Life
The second elder brother of PM Modi, Amrit Modi, worked as a fitter in a private company. After retirement, he is said to have led a recluse life and has apparently not interacted much with Narendra Modi since he assumed the office of the Prime Minister. Amrit prefers to stay out of the limelight, seldom taking part in any discourse or activities concerning his notable sibling. His non-intrusive and uneventful lifestyle is a case in point as to how the Modi family chooses to remain aloof towards any political standing of Narendra Modi.
3. Prahlad Modi: A Critical Voice in the Modi Family
Prahlad Modi, who is one of the younger brothers of Narendra Modi, appears to be the most outspoken of all the siblings, particularly with respect to the policies of the government. He owns a small kirana store in Ahmedabad and is also the Vice President of Fair Price Shop Owners’ Association, Gujarat.
Prahlad Modi is known for his forthright character and in fact, has taken part in protests and expressed his displeasure at the policies that were threatening the livelihoods of fair price shop owners, even going against some of the policies of his brother’s government. This scenario is interesting because it shows that the Modi family is a close-knit one, but each has their own views and attitudes towards politics.
4. Pankaj Modi: The Youngest Brother and a Government Clerk
The youngest brother of Pankaj Modi, Narindra Modi has been employed as a clerk in the information department in Gandhinagar. Even as a Prime Minister’s brother, he maintains a decent lifestyle and has not been authoritative enough to take advantage of the family relations. Pankaj is said to be very attached to their mother, Heeraben and is often seen by her side in public. His dedication towards his clerical post in the government speaks volumes about the family’s commitment towards serving the public while refraining from enjoying any of the social comforts that come with holding the position of Narendra Modi.
5. Vasantiben Hasmukhlal Modi: The Sister Away from the Public Eye
The only living sibling of Narendra Modi, a man named Vasantiben Hasmukhlal Modi, has a household in Unjha, a place in the state of Gujarat which is around 130 km away from Ahmedabad. She prefers to stay away from public debates with very little information available to the public about her life and the life of her family. Vasantiben has also lived a rather quiet life, without the distractions of being in public too much, Just like the other brothers of hers.
Modest Background and Values
Every family has a narrative, and the Modis’ is one of independence and simplicity. Heeren and Damodardas Modi welcomed their son Gujarat and Vadnagar -poor as they were trained them to have a realistic approach to life in all its aspects. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s expressing condolences and respect as he goes from working in his father’s tea shop to a position of power as the Prime Minister is an inspiring tale, but the simple way of living led y his siblings shows that the family came from a background of service over domination.
A Philosophy of Independence
Such a simple and humble setting of the Modi family implies perhaps a common consensus among the siblings to not exploit the position of Narendra Modi in any manner. The Sophists also advance that each one of the Modi family members has preferred to be on their own, working for the society in their own ways. Somabhai, Amrit, Prahlad, and Pankaj illustrate that irrespective of being related to one of the world’s most powerful leaders, they are not after politics and political advantages but personal convictions and the work that needs to be done. The PM himself obeyed their decisions and refrained from involving and even mentioning his family to the public in his political activities.
These typical families are very down to earth and individualistic in their outlook. They place great emphasis on self-help and devotion to the community. Their lives also show how kinship and personal values can thrive even in the midst of politics and political stardom.
